Our engineers use 3D solid modeling using SolidWorks and have the ability to open just about any CAD files you have.
Design & New Part Engineering
We can assist your engineers with new product development and aid your company with the process of taking a product from concept to carton.
- We can preprogram and nest most parts for yield optimization.
- We can run bend simulations in our advanced software to make sure formed parts can be achieved with existing tooling and equipment.
- Minimum flange lengths, holes pulling when forming, minimum edge to centerline for installed hardware & close looks at complex assemblies and weldments are some key elements that we have a keen eye on. Oftentimes we can offer suggestions and solutions in part size, formed dimensions and spot welding/welding designations for easier more cost-effective solutions and always passing those cost savings on to the customer.
At CSM we’ll even assist you with the design of sheet metal parts to enhance cost savings and ease of manufacturing. We have our own in house engineer who will work hand in hand with your engineers to understand your manufacturing requirements and bring our years of experience with sheet metal to all of your parts.
Engineering / Reverse Engineering / Reengineering
Don’t have a new product or blue prints for existing product? No problem, we can reverse engineer any of your current parts and assemblies to accommodate your needs.
